Hello out there in internet land. It's Monday, January 18th, 2021. It's MLK Day. I hope you had/are having a good weekend. I had a very busy weekend. I was unable to post this Playlist Friday this past Friday. So I'm doing another Playlist Monday. I'm not going to make this a habit. I really like Playlist Friday on Fridays. It'll return to Friday this Friday. How many times can I say Friday in the same paragraph. Anyways.
I got to see my parents & brother last night. We ate at Coltivare which is in the Heights. It was a fun time. I got the wood grilled chicken. It's the first time I've had chicken & grapes together, but it was good. We sat in the beautiful patio they have set up on their property. Very cool place. I'm using this space as a free plug for them. Check them out if you're in or around the Houston area.
To the order of business.
This playlist shifts more towards the rock genre than the past several weeks has. But that's what Playlist Friday (in this case another Playlist Monday) is all about. A revolving door of genres. Higher Power - "Low Season" (fourth song on this week's playlist)... it's like a time machine into the late 90s-early to mid 00s. Reminds me of a blend of Tapoot & Sevendust. Say what you want about those bands, but there are still times now where I just want to rock out to that type of music. Old Korn, Crossfade, Limp Bizkit....
Some of that music is still fun to listen to today. It's just fun music to vibe to. I know I'm probably being judged by some people reading this. You put a little "Cold" by Crossfade on... that's a jam. That's livin.
LOOOKIN BACK AT ME I SEE I NEVER REALLY GOT IT RIGHT
Thanks for checking out the blog. It's appreciated. Hope you're having a good MLK Monday.
