Playlist Friday

Playlist Friday

Howday! The second Friday of June has arrived. It's Friday, June 12, 2020. I hope your week has gone well. Hope you're staying cool. It's heating up in Texas at least.

Playlist Friday is looking a little different with a new post image. A little Summer-ish vibe going on. Just something I pieced together in a few mins. I may rotate the two Playlist Friday images as time goes on.

I used Beach House's Depression Cherry's album cover for the red Playlist Friday header image all this time. And for this header image... I literally just googled "cotton candy wallpaper".

So. Some very high level photoshop skill taking place.

Playlist Friday this week isss strong (imo).

Kicks off with a band I've liked for years. Ringo Deathstarr is a band that I listen to... and I'm like... "this is pretty dang good". And then time will go by and I'll listen to them again and do the same thing. They don't really have any songs where I go... "this is just not good". Every song is at least decent.

I include a song off their most recent self titled album released this year. Song slaps. Album slaps.

The 4 other songs... pull at your heart strings nostalgia feels. The second song from Delusion Platonica... speaking of Beach House... the intro gave me that Beach House nostalgia feel. That unexplainable... "nostalgia twang". It's so hard to describe. You hear most Beach House songs and you automatically know it's Beach House. I got that same feeling listening to this song.

Delusion Platonica... check that guy out for sure.

I featured A.O. Gerber on a very early Playlist Friday. It might've been in 2018. Chloe Gallardo and Dude Low... impressed by both of them as well. Long story short... Playlist Friday jammed packed this week.

I'm typing a lot this week. I've had two glasses of iced coffee. That probably is increasing the typing a little. I love iced coffee though. So dannnng good.

With that said... thanks for checking out the blog. It's appreciated. Hope you have a good weekend.
