Playlist Friday

Playlist Friday

Hello out there in internet land. We've made it to another Friday. Friday, February 7th, 2020. Hope your week has gone well. COLD in a lot of Texas areas this week. A lot of areas got snow. Crazy times. Houston didn't get any. Just cold temps. Going to bed when it's cold and you're wrapped up in a warm blanket... perhaps while listening to music or a podcast... that is living.

The blog went through another update this week. I've inspected around and haven't seen anything glaring that's out of place. Which worries me a little. If you see something wonky comment or dm me on Insta so I can fix it. I would be very appreciative!

I'm going to UFC 247 tomorrow night in Houston. I'm excited. I haven't seen UFC in person before. I caught (most) of the PPVs the last couple years via watching from home. I wrote about mma when I wrote about tennis last year. I said I liked how it was a one on one sport. Similar to tennis for the sole fact you're trying to outsmart your opponent. Like a game of checkers. Of course you don't get punched in the face in tennis. You have to be a little crazy to be a fighter. Hats off to those men and women.

I much rather watch from the outside sipping a margarita or long island iced tea, eating a crappy overpriced chicken basket than actually fighting another human being inside a octagon.

The card is a little weird for the event. It has the name value with Jon Jones, Valentina Shevchenko and Derrick Lewis on the main card. They're all heavy favorites though. So on paper they (could) all be mismatches. That's why they fight it out though. Upsets have happened plenty of times. Time will tell.

The rest of the fights... I've watched a lot of UFC the last year and I still don't know a lot of the names on the prelims and early prelims. I'll still probably go and watch them all though. It's going to be a long night. 5:30p-12amish. According to the seating map I'm going to be 14 rows behind Joe Rogan and the ESPN commentary crew. I still don't know what my view will be like with the cage and everything. We shall see.

I'll probably make a review post of the experience sometime in the coming week. That is this coming week though. Today is today! Playlist Friday. A few different genres this week. I've listened to the 5 songs probably four times alone just while typing this post. I approve of them very much.

Maybe you'll like them (too).

Thanks for reading the blog. I hope you have a good weekend.
