Playlist Friday

Playlist Friday

Hello! It's Friday, April 1st, 2022. April Fools' Day. Hope your week has gone well.

Not a big fan of April Fools' Day tbh. There will be no pranks on this blog today.

Just some music bein posted. Some music on a Friday night. Amen.

This week's playlist kicks off w Petite League. They hail from Queens, NY. "Bad for Fun" is the track. It reminds me of Deerhunter in their Monomania album days mixed w maybe... Phoenix?

It's a catchy little bop.

The fourth track is by S. Which is the alias of Jenn Champion. Who used to be in the band Carrissa's Wierd. Which disbanded all the way back in 2003. Jenn has done some other stuff outside of S as well over the last couple decades. Stuff I still need to check out myself. I may do that after I finish this very post. I may open a twisted tea... look up some of her other stuff. Have a peaceful lil Friday night.

The second track on this week's list is Deadharrie's - "Bless My Heart". I couldn't find it on Youtube, but it is on Spotify and of course the blog's Spotify Playlist. I've liked what I've heard from this Deadharrie tbh. Hard to find a lot of info on him, but it looks like his name is William Harries. He hails from Florida.

Doused & Freescha fill out the list.

Doused is a shoegaze band from Philly. Fronted by Emma Hansson. I've listened to a few of their songs this week. I definitely need to dig in a little more. I've liked what I've heard from them though. And Freescha is the California combo of Nick Huntington and Michael McGroarty.

"Kite High" is a very chill way to end this week's playlist.

Have a listen if you so wish. I appreciate you reading.
