Playlist Friday

Howdaaaay. It's Friday, September 3rd, 2021. Hope your week has gone well.

Random thoughts/tidbits:

1) I'm dragging a little bit this morning and I'm running a little late so this week's post may not be super long. I was in Sugar Land, Texas about 6 hrs ago. I was given Skeeters tickets (aaa affiliate of the astros) and I was like "chyeah I'll go" because I heard "free". Then after I got them in my head I was like... "I actually don't really want to go what have I done?". Ended up going anyways.

It was interesting. Apparently it was dog day so there were a bunch of dog type games between innings. Then after the game they had weenie dog races and pro wrestling. It was quite the odd mixture of things happening over there. This was the first minor league baseball game I've attended. So at least I can say I've been to one now I guess. I don't hang out in Sugar Land very often so that was a little adventure in it of itself. I got to experience the Sugar Land life a little bit.

Also... Galleria rush hour traffic trying to get to Sugar Land last night... Probably the best time I've had in my life. Being on the road w so many friendly drivers. That was livin.

2) I was listening to Kanye's - Donda album this week. I first started listening to it because I was bored. I went into it w a completely open mind. Given all the craziness surrounding Kanye these days w multiple things. As I was listening to the album and as each song passed I found myself thinking "this is... actually... really good". The album reminded me of classic Kanye. It reminded me of the level of his 2010 MBTDF album. I almost made an individual album review post earlier in the week, but decided I'll just put a song from it in Playlist Friday. The album is literally 1 hr 48 mins (lol) and there is a little fluff here and there, but for a 1 hr 48 min album I found myself enjoying about 1 hr 30 mins of it. I haven't been much of a Kanye listener for almost a decade, but I don't know. Like I said I went into it w a completely open mind and I think it's a great album. I'd give it in the 8-9 range out of 10.

3) That will just about do it this week on the blog. It's Labor Day weekend. It's hard to believe September is here already. Even though my birthday is in August... I really dread Houston summers. August is probably my least fav month of the year. It'll be nice to have a little bit of Fall weather in the next few months. Fall is easily my favorite season. I love everything about it.

With that said... I appreciate you reading. Until next time.
