Playlist Friday

Playlist Friday

Hello out there in internet land. It's Friday, July 30th, 2021. Hope your week has gone well.

I spent the first few days of the week in Seattle. I picked this week's songs on the plane ride up there on Sunday night. It's officially the first playlist on the blog where I've chosen the songs on a plane.

I. Love. Seattle. Crammed a lot into 3 1/2 days. It was non-stop and it was a very fun experience. I think I'll go back next year if not sooner. That's how much I enjoyed being up there.

To the playlist!

It kicks off with "Big Wheel" by Samia. I've listened to this track probably 25 times this week. Catchy. I still have to check out more of Samia's stuff, but if it's anything like "Big Wheel"... count me in as a big fan. The next song is "Sword" by Ian Sweet. Catchy pop song. Sweet twingyy instrumental.

MILLY is the first rock song on the list with "Star Thistle Blossom". "Tears" by Knifeplay slows things down with a angsty tune. The final minute of that song, however, is like a release of emotion from the pent up frustration portrayed in the first 3 minutes. The playlist then ends w a very nice track from Mia Joy called "Ye Old Man". The song is about her Dad who wasn't/isn't such a good Dad apparently.

Have a listen to the playlist if you so wish. I say this every few weeks, but every song on a Playlist Friday (unless it's a rare exception) is also on a Spotify playlist. Just search "Jake Rambles".

I appreciate you reading. Hope you have a good weekend.
