Billy Bob Thornton. Sling Blade, Monster's Ball, Bad Santa, etc... He's starred in several really good movies. He was married to Angelina Jolie during her Tomb Raider days.
He also stars in Amazon Prime's series Goliath.
Goliath. If you want to feel good during or after a series... don't watch Goliath. Especially season 2. I enjoyed the two seasons, but season 2 is really depressing. I also didn't agree with every plot twist in the second season, but I'm not the director. I'm just a guy living in Texas with a blog called JakeRambles.com. What up. I was going to write a review of the series a couple of weeks ago after I watched the second season, but I didn't want to relive things again from the show.
I was also already not in the best of moods while binging the season. That didn't help, but you'll not be in the best of moods either way after watching the show. I appreciate the direction and unhappiness of the series in the sense that's how life is sometimes, but deep down I wanted a different direction to end season 2. After the season ended... I was like "ain't life a bitch". Then I ate hot wings to cheer up.
I bring up Billy Bob Thornton because his band was in Houston last night. He's been playing music with the band for quite awhile. I remember them coming to Houston years ago at Warehouse Live. I have yet to check out one of their songs. They played at Redneck Country Club last night. I didn't know of the show until I saw something online about it yesterday afternoon. Then I was like:
G'bless. I kid, but I love that picture of Brock Lesnar. I've posted it before on the blog and it won't be the last time. I didn't go because 1) I'm not a big fan of the owner of the place, 2) I'd be hesitant to step foot in a place called "Redneck Country Club" to begin with, 3) I found out about it last minute and 4) I wouldn't be going for the music. I'd be going because I like some of his on screen work.
With that said, I would love to just drink a margarita or a long island iced tea and have even a mini-conversation with Billy Bob Thornton. I think that would be a fun time.
