2018 has come and gone. It was an up-and-down year. I'm not a big New Year's resolutions person. My resolutions for 2019 are pretty simple: be easier on myself mentally. I've beaten myself up A LOT not just in 2018, but the last few years. To the point where it's affected how I see myself sometimes. I don't want to see myself as negatively as I have the last few years. I've dwelled on my own mistakes, other peoples actions and words repeatedly far too much the last few years. Yes. Year (s) plural.
I failed to update the blog a lot towards the end of 2018. Everything I said in the last Playlist Friday post (disregard all that). New posts will not be automatically updated at a certain time everyday. It will still be random (for now). Although the goal is to always post more on the blog. I'm confident January will see a significant uptick in posts. What will the posts be about? You'll find out not too much longer after I do. This is literally a blog about nothing and everything. Tomorrow's post could be about cheese dip or it could be about Billy Bob Thornton.
I'm glad I started the blog last year though. I do like having this mini-outlet to express misc thoughts, feelings and opinions. If you read things here at all last year - thank you. I don't know how many readers I had. My guess is not too many. I didn't tell many people about it. I have a link in my IG bio and on the sidebar of a sports card blog, but that's about as far as advertising this little place as I've gone. That's kind of how I like it though. Simple. Not too much in the spotlight. A tiny blog with my silly thoughts.
I haven't collected sports cards since I was a kid, but I like the way Matt runs his blog. And I asked if I could be on his sidebar. That's why I'm on there and why he's on mine. If you were curious why I'm featured on a sports trading card blog. You see... I say this blog is small... but then again I'm featured on a sports trading card blog. Who knows where I'll be featured next month. Maybe a yarn blog. The blogging sky is the limit for this here JakeRambles. What up.
If you're reading the blog for the first time or you're a return reader - thank you. I hope your 2018 was well. And if not... hopefully 2019 is a little brighter. It's January 1st. Page one of a 365 page journey. I'm being very cliché right now, but you get my drift. Let's make it a good one.
